Man stabbed to death in southwest DeLand, deputies announce

A man died after being stabbed in DeLand on Thursday night, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.In a release, deputies said that the stabbing happened in the southwest area of DeLand, near West Beresford Road and South High Street around 8:34 p.m.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and the suspect’s identity remains unknown, deputies added.“Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances and canvassing for evidence,” the release reads. “At this time, no suspect is in custody.
